Lesson Six

Internet Searching

We all use search engines on a daily basis.  Most of us quickly type a couple of words into the search box and then click "search".  The problem with this is that by not thinking about what we are really looking for we can easily limit our search results, or make the results so numerous that we can't possibly find what we are looking for.  We are going to use the  Four Nets for Better Searching  strategy to help narrow and focus our searches. Begin by going to the Four Nets for Better Searching website.  Fill out the four nets worksheet while you work through the site.  After you have completed your worksheet you need to either print it out and turn it in, or email it to your teacher.  Your teacher will tell you which method they prefer.
