Workplace Safety
Work Place Attire and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Lesson 2
In a previous lesson you were introduced to proper work attire (dress). This lesson focused on
professional attire the sort of attire a banker, business man, or teacher would wear. Not all
occupations require professional attire. In fact some occupations do no allow it for safety reasons.
Would you want the fire fighter trying to rescue you from a burning building wearing a suit and a
tie?
Below you will find four jobs and the clothing and the PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
required for each. You will choose one of the occupations below and using the internet resources
shop for the clothing you will need . Then you create a spread sheet to keep track of the costs.
Make sure your spread sheet contains the following: Job name and description, each clothing items
name, cost of each item quantity of each item, total for each item, and total price for all items.
